Check out these events going on February 6th-9th! 

-MEDIC Regional Blood Center Team up with Pat Summitt Foundation (February 6th & 7th)

From Tuesday, February 4th, through Friday, February 7th, anyone who donates lifesaving blood at any MEDIC blood drive will be supporting Coach Summitt’s legacy. MEDIC will make a $10 donation The Pat Summitt Foundation for every donor who donates blood. MEDIC has set a goal of 1,500 donors. The MEDIC Regional Blood Center has a donor center in Crossville at 79 South Main Street. The center is open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Other Donation Options: Roane State Community College – Crossville – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM 

Each donor will receive a $10 e-card to Walmart, Texas Roadhouse appetizer coupon, Petro’s coupon and a special edition short-sleeved shirt. MEDIC is asking the community to use the hashtags #GiveForPat and #MEDICBloodCenter on social media when posting pictures of their donation or encouraging others to give. -Walk Stonehenge (February 06, 2020)

For those of you living in Fairfield or those of you who enjoy walking and the great outdoors, take a walk along the cart paths at Stonehenge Golf Club. They meet every Thursday morning at the clubhouse at 8:45am for a departure at 9:00am. Make sure you bring your comfy walking shoes and meet on the front sidewalk. Admission is free so bring along a friend or two. 

-The Cabin Fever Concert Series: Memory Road (February 07,2020)

The Cabin Fever Concert Series: Memory Road. Dance floor, snacks, and cash bar are available. No outside food or beverage permitted. 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center located at 128 Stonehenge Drive, Crossville TN 38558. Tickets are $12.50. 

-Travis Bigwood and the Lonesome Doves Live "In the House" (February 07, 2020)

Grinder House is proud to welcome back to the stage the winner of the Tennessee Songwriter Week last year and incredible talent, Travis Bigwood. Travis is a Knoxville singer-songwriter who uses souther idealogy and folklore to create arrangements yearning for simpler times. He has recently stepped out to tell his own story. He will be performing from 6pm-8pm at the Grinder House Coffee Shop on Main Street. Free admission. 

-Chess Class with Alan Kantor (February 08, 2020)

One of the premier chess instructors in the country, Mr. Kantor has been teaching chess to all ages for over 20 years. 10:00am-12:00pm at the Art Circle Public Library located at 3 East Street, Crossville TN 38555. This event takes place every Saturday of the month (except the 15th). Free admission. 

-Free Guitar Lessons (February 08, 2020)

Free guitar lessons with talented guitarist and entertainers, Mr. Tom Fincher!  At the Art Circle Public Library. Beginners @ 10:00 a.m. Intermediates @ 10:30 a.m, and Advanced @ 11:30 a.m.. Bring your own guitar! Beginners: TJ will help you to play 2 to 3 songs with just 1 or 2 lessons by using a new method! Intermediates: You will learn different chords, old rock or boogie beat, blues and Johnny Cash's Luther Perkins's beat!

-2nd Annual Songwriter Week Qualifying Round (February 08, 2020)

We received a remarkable response, more than 25 artist signed up for the Qualifying Round here at the Grinder House. Grinder House "In the House"  is honored to have 2 TOP HALL OF FAME Songwriters and music industry songwriter and producer as our venue Judges. The one and only Mr. Jerry Foster of the famed Foster and Rice writing duo. Mr. Gerald Smith the "Georgia Quacker" from the infamous Hee Haw and certainly not least Mr. Sean Gasaway writer and producer.

-Plateau Origami People (January 31, 2020)

Do you enjoy the ancient Japanese tradition of Oragami? Then you have found your group! Bring your folding paper or just join them to watch. This group is open to everyone high school age or older. It is hosted at the Art Circle Public Library-3 East Street, Crossville TN 38555. The hours are from 1:00pm-3:00pm and this group meets every Friday at the same time. 

-Wire Wrapped Heart Pendant & Bead Necklace Class (January 31, 2020)

Are you thinking about making that special someone a Valentine's Day gift? Then look no further then this class right here! Each person will have a completed handmade necklace when they leave. The cost including all of the supplies and instruction will be $30 per person. Pre-registration is needed for this event so they can make sure they have enough supplies for everyone. Looking for a fun and family friendly environment to spend your Friday night at? Then look no further then Spike's Sports Grille. They have great food and it is family friendly and non-smoking. -Mother Legacy Live "In the House" (January 31, 2020)

If you want something closer to town in a more relaxed environment then head over to the Grinder House Coffee Shop on Main Street and listen to Shay Collins. Hours will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm, make sure you enjoy some of their wonderful coffee and goodies while you are there as well. 

-Write Away (February 01, 2020)

Would you like to develop your writing skills and meet others who share your writing interests? Then you need to join the writing class this Saturday at the Art Circle Public Library-3 East First Street, Crossville TN 38555. The hours will be 10:00am-12:00pm and they will host this event on the 1st Saturday of every month (Holidays permitting). 

-Painted Paper Valentine with Jean Corbett (February 01, 2020)

Hand-designed papers, memories, words, color are all combined to make your personalized Valentine using canvas board and/or paper. Wear your old clothes and bring an aprom. Hours are 10:30am-1:30pm at the FACS location in the Crossvillle Outlet Center Suite 122, 228 Interstate Drive, Crossville TN 38558. The fee for this class will be $25 plus $3 paid directly to the instructor for additional supplies.

Henry Conlon Live "In the House"

In 2018, Henry headlined the Limitless Festival in Philadelphia and also took part in the East Rock Concert series alongside other local and national artists. He later earned a spot as the resident artist at the Dekalb Market Hall, in Brooklyn where he performed his music for a five month stretch. In 2019, Henry began work on his debut album, “Home”, with Eric Lichter at Dirt Floor Recording & Production in northern Connecticut. “Home” features some of the tracks Henry has written about his life and his observations on the world around him, featuring artists like Eric Lichter and MorganEve Swain.
